When 14 tons of beach sand was inadvertently pumped onto the roof of an industrial property in Western Sydney, it created a significant sand-loading event. The situation was further exacerbated by heavy rainfall, increasing the weight and causing structural damage to the roof, with more severe weather forecasted.
Upon notification, InsureBuild acted swiftly to address the urgent situation for the Alchin Long Group. Collaborating closely with Charles Taylor Adjusting, we managed the structural damage, removed the sand, and implemented measures to prevent further risk—securing the site just in time before the arrival of additional wild weather.
